Jim Bartsch is an architectural and corporate photographer based in Santa Barbara, California. A graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography (1988), Jim was selected by The Iris Group to be one of its independent architectural photographers, photographing some of the country's most exclusive homes. Since that time, Jim's clientele has expanded to include corporations, advertising agencies, hotels, interior designers, architects and magazines - and his work has appeared in Audio/Video Interiors, Stereophile Guide to Home Theatres, Town & Country, Architectural Digest, Elle Decor and numerous other publications (Publications).
Jim has also traveled to more than 30 countries, and some of his travel photography can be seen in his (Stock/Travel Gallery). In the Fall of 1996, Jim was chosen to be the Photography Instructor for Semester at Sea (an around-the-world shipboard educational experience sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh). His photo assignments have included South America, Central America, Switzerland and China. In January of 1998, Jim traveled to Inner Mongolian, China, to photograph some of the last remaining steam trains (Stock/Steam Trains). |
